Treatment for asthma typically involves:

  • Inhaled Corticosteroids: Fluticasone (Flixotide®, Floair®), Budesonide (Pulmicort®), Beclomethasone (Qvar®, Beclazone®)
  • Long-Acting Beta-Agonists (LABAs): Salmeterol (Serevent®), Formoterol (Oxis®), and Indacaterol (Onbrez®)
  • Combination Inhalers (Corticosteroid + LABA): Fluticasone plus salmeterol (Seretide®, RexAir®), Budesonide plus formoterol (Symbicort®, Vannair®, DuoResp®)
  • Short-Acting Beta-Agonists (SABAs, rescue inhalers): Salbutamol (Ventolin®, Respigen®) and Terbutaline (Bricanyl®)

Nebulisers, oral steroids, and other asthma medications may not be available through Chat-consult.

How do prescriptions work?

The doctor creates and sends paperless prescriptions for you. They will send your prescription to your favourite or nearest pharmacy for the most convenient pick-up location, or you can choose home delivery.
